About Bernard Borry

With over 38 years of global experience in tourism development, education, consultancy, and inclusive support, Bernard is a respected voice in the international travel industry. He is the founder of Expert Tourism Swiss, an independent initiative dedicated to sustainable, culturally authentic, and human-centered travel.

Bernard’s career spans high-level roles in both government and private sectors. His expertise includes tourism policy advising, strategic planning, capacity building, curriculum development, and destination branding. He has led major tourism initiatives, advised national tourism boards, and mentored professionals around the world. As a Senior Expert Advisory Director (Pro Bono) and a member of the UFTAA Board of Directors for Switzerland, he continues to influence global tourism discourse.

Making inclusive travel one of my priorities is meaningful and necessary in today’s world. Inclusive travel ensures that people of all identities, abilities, and backgrounds can participate in and enjoy travel safely, comfortably, and equitably.

Driven by a deep respect for people and places, Bernard travels not as a tourist, but as a curious and engaged observer—committed to understanding and honoring the cultural and social dynamics of each destination. His work reflects a belief in tourism as a powerful tool for education, connection, inclusion, and sustainable development.

With over 20 years of experience in tourism passenger & inclusive transport, Philip is known for his reliability, discretion, and warm, guest-centered approach. Fluent in French, English, and Swedish, he serves as an independent driver under (Taxi pour Tous) and tour guide and incoming guide.
